Hill-Stead Museum’s Annual Report is an opportunity to celebrate accomplishments and thank its generous donors. This year we embraced a playful theme inspired by the year’s blockbuster Barbie movie. Together, we produced a 21-spread digital report that not only archived the museum’s milestones but also spotlighted the people who make its success possible—presented as our very own “Barbies.”
Samari Studios designed the layout and visuals, blending Barbie’s iconic pink palette and signature typeface with Hill-Stead’s established branding and its recognizable green. Each honoree—like “Founding Barbie” (Theodate Pope Riddle) and “Curator Barbie” (Melanie Bourbeau)—was showcased inside a custom pink “box,” echoing the collectible Barbie Career Dolls. The result was a vibrant, memorable report that blended gratitude, storytelling, and cultural fun.
