The Design and Decorative Arts Council of the Wadsworth Atheneum invites you to a virtual tour at the home of Duffield Ashmead IV and features his collection of Philadelphia-made antique clocks.
About Gary Sullivan:
Gary Sullivan is a highly regarded antique clock and American antique furniture expert. He is an author, exhibit curator, and a regular appraiser on the PBS series Antiques Roadshow. He specializes in exceptional American clocks, antiques, and fine art from the Queen Anne, Chippendale, and Federal periods.
About Duff Ashmead:
Duff Ashmead is a long-standing member of the Design and Decorative Arts Council. In addition, he currently serves as a vice president of the Board of Trustees of the museum. A hand surgeon, he is the program director of the University of Connecticut Hand Surgery Fellowship and assistant clinical professor of surgery at the University of Connecticut. His interest in timekeepers, particularly tall clocks, is long-standing.
Brandy Culp is the Richard Koopman Curator of American Decorative Arts at the Wadsworth Atheneum.
